Selling an HVAC company? The service records are an asset too

When an HVAC firm is sold or closes, its service history is often left out of the count. A copy can be licensed alongside the sale, or before the doors close, if the platform's terms allow it.
Before the sale or the shutdown
Export the full service history while the subscription is live: on the platforms we read that name an export window, it is 30 days after termination. A buyer of the business and a buyer of a data licence want different things, so agree in the sale terms who keeps the right to license the records.
Who takes records like these
The buyers whose own pages we read are not HVAC specialists. Polyshares says it buys a company's operational data directly, Nyne says it pays businesses to license anonymized historical data from the tools they already use, and DataDeals names company wind-downs among the deals it sees.
