The owner's question
Can an HVAC company sell its service and dispatch records?
Updated
The records can usually be licensed when the platform's terms leave them with the contractor and the customer details are taken out. 4 of the 8 HVAC platforms we read say the contractor owns its data.
The short answer, from the terms themselves
Selling here means licensing a copy: the firm keeps its records and an AI buyer takes a cleaned copy under an agreement. Whether the firm can do that turns first on the software contract. The clauses below are quoted from each platform's own page. It is information about published terms, not legal advice on your contract.
Sera: the contractor owns its data
Sera's terms say: "Sera expressly acknowledges that Customer Data and Confidential Information of Customer are exclusively owned by Customer."

RazorSync: the contractor owns its data, RazorSync keeps usage measures
RazorSync's terms say: "As between the parties, Customer shall own all Customer Data." They go on to let RazorSync use measures of usage and performance derived from that data in aggregated and de-identified form.

Zuper: the contractor keeps title
Zuper's terms say: "Customer shall retain all right, title and interest in and to Customer Data, including all intellectual property rights therein."

XOi: ownership stays with the customer
XOi's terms say: "Customers retain ownership of all Customer Data uploaded to the platform."

Carrier ClimaVision: Carrier owns the aggregate
The ClimaVision licence says Carrier may anonymize or aggregate the equipment and building data and that "Licensor shall own and retain all right, title, and interest in and to Aggregate Data".
What has to come out before a copy leaves the firm
A service ticket names a householder or a site contact and an address. While a person can be identified from it, that is personal data, so the names, addresses, phone numbers and call recordings are stripped before any licence, and what a buyer receives is the work: the fault, the readings, the fix and the price.
